By Mogadishu, 1 January 2024- Hon. Abdirashid Jilley, Member of the 11th Federal Parliament of Somalia has strongly denounced the MoU signed in Addis-Ababa by Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed and the president of Somaliland Administration Mr. Muse Bihi Abdi.
The MP Abdirashid said on his Facebook account. “ I strongly condemn the deceitful MoU that Somaliland signed with the Ethiopian government, the president whose term ended Mr. Moses Bixi, that he is giving his children’s inheritance is very unfortunate indeed.
“Ethiopia is a country – Somalia is the only country that can be negotiated!!! The government of Ethiopia is not allowed to take the Somali sea illegally”.
“The federal government of Somalia should clarify its position on this issue as soon as possible!! Our sea is not for sale, and all Somalis must take a stand on this matter.” He noted.
