The Deputy Prime Minister of Somalia attends a meeting to defend the independence of Somalia organized by the Heritage Institute

LM-Mogadishu: The meeting was attended by members of the government, members of both houses of parliament, scholars, and different sections of the Somali community, and discussed how to resolve Ethiopia’s insidious desire to take parts of Somali land.

Mr. Saleh noted that the Somali Government has taken many measures to prevent the agreement to destroy the Somali land.

“This agreement is a clear and aggressive violation of the sovereignty, nationalism, independence, and territorial and national unity of the Federal Republic of Somalia, and is a clear violation of the Somali Constitution, international principles, and those Organizations of the United Nations and the African Union, and they are harmful to good neighbors and peace in the region. Said the Deputy Prime Minister who spoke at the forum.

Participants at the forum emphasized the importance of inclusive dialogue about such national issues and thanked to Heritage Institute for organizing this forum in a time needed, and in the meeting, it was highlighted the root causes of conflict and instability. They recognized the significance of national unity for all the citizens and the government to unanimously defend their sovereignty and integrity.
