LM-Mogadisu, 11 January 2024- The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia Prof. Hassan Sheik Mohamud received the Special Envoy of the European Union for the Horn of Africa, Mrs. Annette Weber.
Mr. Hassan held a constructive meeting today with the European Union (EU) Special Envoy to East Africa, Mrs. Annette Weber to discuss the current regional situation and explore avenues for enhanced cooperation. The meeting, characterized by open dialogue and a shared commitment to regional stability and development, marks an important step towards strengthening the partnership between Somalia and the EU.
During the discussions, President Mohamud and Special Envoy Weber exchanged views on a wide range of issues affecting East Africa, including political developments, security challenges, economic opportunities, and regional integration efforts.
