MP Abdirahman Abdishakur: Ethiopia’s Violation against Somalia is serious for it

LM- Mogadishu, 10 January 2024- Hon. Abdirahman Abdishakur Warsame, Member of Federal Parliament of Somalia and a leader of Wadajir Party has written a brief about the Ethiopia’s aviolation against Somalia and the situation that Ethiopia is in now. He started his brief:-

Ethiopia’s Violation against Somalia is serious for it, because it is a separate country where civil wars are going on: –

1. One million people were killed from The Tigre tribe; they are in the process of reorganizing.
2. The Amharic region is under curfew, but their rebels sometimes come up to 100 km from Addis-Ababa.
3. The agreement between the government and the Oromo Rebellion has collapsed,
4. the Minister of Peace, Mr. Taye Dandea, who accused the government of being behind the failure of the agreement, has been put in prison, and the rebel is fighting outside the capital.
5. These wars have cost the country billions of dollars, in addition to the fact that the Tigray regime has already depleted the government’s treasury, while widespread corruption continues, which has caused the government to be unable to pay its debts
6. Abiy’s administration Most of the neighbors are not good to each other, and no one in the world can get support to avoid the crisis in the Horn of Africa, while the previous ones are not supported.

Where Somalia is;

1. A country in recovery and its people uniting.
2. The debt relief was done, and the arms embargo was lifted, which allowed the country to build a Somali army that would take over the security of the country and protect the sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity of the country.
3. We have an active expatriate who can greatly participate in lobbying and organizing diplomacy.
4. We are scattered in the Horn of Africa, we have a strong business, and we are a nation with a sense of provocation, hatred, humiliation, and foreign greed.
5. The leadership of the federal government of Somalia and federal member states are obliged to:;
6. Everything should be respected for the unity and solidarity of Somalia, first of all, our Somaliland brothers.
7. To build a national defense government that is selected based on talent, knowledge, skill and experience, leaving no room for greed, personal interest and factionalism.
8. To take a diplomatic approach and organize people, and give priority to defending the country from the enemies of the government and the greed of foreigners.
9. To win friends and governments for Somalia is our mutual interest.
