LM-Mogadishu: In a bid to streamline and enhance the vaccination process, the government has launched a campaign of modern vaccination registration that aims to expedite the Modern System of Vaccination System of Somalia. The campaign, introduced by the Ministry of Health, aims to leverage technology and digital platforms to simplify the registration process and ensure efficient vaccine distribution.
The modern vaccination registration campaign utilizes a user-friendly online platform accessible through the Ministry of Health’s official website. Citizens and eligible residents can now conveniently register for vaccination by providing their personal information, including name, age, contact details, and any relevant medical history. The platform also allows individuals to select their preferred vaccination center and schedule an appointment based on availability.
The Minister of Health and Social Welfare of The Federal Government of Somalia H.E Dr. Ali Haji Adam officially opened the campaign and addressed the event. He stressed the importance of The online registration system is designed to reduce long queues and waiting times at vaccination centers, ensuring a smoother and more organized process. By pre-registering online, individuals can save time and avoid unnecessary physical contact, contributing to the overall safety and efficiency of the vaccination campaign.
The event was addressed by the Director General of the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare of the Somali Federal Government Dr. Guled Abdijalil, members of the Ministries of Health of the Regional Governments and Banadir Region, acting as World Health Organization (WHO), Dr. Sandani and other members, a technical team from HISP Tanzania, Save the Children, IRC, Somali Medical Association, Medical Experts, and other honored guests.
Furthermore, the campaign emphasizes the importance of accurate and up-to-date information. To ensure the efficacy of the vaccination program, individuals are encouraged to provide accurate details during the registration process. This information will help authorities in planning and allocating vaccine doses effectively, ensuring that the vaccination campaign reaches all eligible individuals promptly.
The Ministry of Health has taken steps to ensure accessibility for individuals who may not have access to the internet or face challenges in utilizing the online platform. Alternate registration methods, such as helplines and designated registration centers, have been set up to accommodate those who require assistance in registering for vaccination.
