Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Assumes Oversight of the Office of the Civil Service Commission

Mogadishu (LM) In a significant development, the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Dr. Mohamed Elmi Ibrahim has officially assumed the oversight of the Office of the Civil Service Commission (OCSC). This move comes as part of the government’s ongoing efforts to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the civil service system in the country.

The Minister of the Office of the Civil Service Commission was welcomed by the Chairman of the Civil Service Commission, Mr. Hassan Abshirow. The Minister listened to a general report from the Chairman of the Civil Service Commission on the priority issues for the development of government civil service management, the activities of the past year in 2023, and the plan of the Commission for the new year of 2024.

The OCSC plays a vital role in managing and regulating the civil service workforce, ensuring the highest standards of professionalism, transparency, and integrity. With the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs taking charge, it is anticipated that a fresh perspective and innovative strategies will be implemented to streamline operations and further strengthen the civil service sector.
