By (LM) Mogadishu: Abdirahman Abdishakur Warsame, MP of the federal parliament of Somalia and a leader of Wadajir Party talks about the second round table negotiations between Somalia and Ethiopia. He declared that Ethiopia dares to violate the sovereignty of Somalia. Therefore, it is not appropriate to sit down at the negotiating table until it withdraws from the abuse, and it happens that sometimes it is faced with political challenges, but Somalia should be aware of Ethiopia’s tactics based on strategic ambiguity (Strategic Ambiguity) and conspiracy techniques (deception tactics).
He suggested the following:
Therefore, the Somali Government must insist:
- Ethiopia should withdraw clearly and unambiguously from the illegal agreement signed by the Somaliland administration and declare that Somaliland is part of Somalia.
- To comply with international law and the diplomatic system and not hand over the official diplomatic relations to the Government of Somalia.
- Since what is on the table is the unity and territorial integrity of the nation of Somalia, the government of Somalia should not bring up anything ambiguous that could have different interpretations.
- Ethiopia cannot win today, and it is more vulnerable than Somalia, which is a country coming together, while they are a country falling apart, and we should not accept anything or anyone who tries to subjugate us or lose us.
