By LM-Mogadishu, 6 January 2024- The prominent politician Abdirahman Abdishakur Warsame, who is a member of the House of Peoples of the Federal Republic of Somalia and a leader of Wadajir Party reacted to a new interview given by the National Security Adviser of Ethiopia, Redwan Hussein, who spoke in details about the Addis Ababa agreement between Somaliland and Ethiopia.
Abdirahman Abdishakur, who issued a statement, said that he watched the interview of the man that was broadcasted on the Ethiopian Government Television, and he said that he summarized 5 important points regarding the ‘null and avoid’ maritime agreement they entered into with Somaliland.
The MP admitted that Redwan Hussein exposed hidden issues related to the agreement, especially the sea to be taken over by the Ethiopian government.
He also added that President Muse Bihi Abdi committed a major treason, as he said.
“Here it is clear that Muse Bihi committed treason. He still has a chance to withdraw from the agreement, otherwise the Somaliland Parliament should impeach him and remove him from office.” Warsame said in a post.

Ethiopia’s National Security Adviser, Redwan Hussein, who gave an interview to Ethiopian Government Television, said five important points, which are:
- That Muse Bihi agreed with the land (From Ethiopia’s land border to the sea) which is different from what Muse Bihi said that they only leased the sea.
- That Somaliland’s search for recognition will be discussed only when Somaliland signs the land and sea agreement.
- That it has not yet been agreed on the share of Somaliland to be given to the Ethiopian airline company.
- That we also do not agree on the money to rent the land and the sea.
- That they chose Lughaye, 20 kilometers away from the land they want. He added that a railway and road will be built from the sea to the Ethiopian border.
Here it is clear that Muse Bihi committed treason. He still has a chance to withdraw from the agreement, otherwise the Somaliland Parliament should impeach him and remove him from office.
