By LM-Garowe: 04 January 2024: The President of the Puntland State, Mr. Said Abdullahi Deni, has congratulated the new committee elected by the 6th Parliament of the Puntland Government.
“I congratulate the 6th Parliament of the Government of Puntland which today elected its Committee, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mr. Abdirisaaq Ahmed Said, the First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mr. Mohamed Bari Shire, and the Second Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mr. Mohamed Mohamud Isse.
The new committee of the House of Representatives is a symbol of Puntland’s democracy that has won, as Chairman Abdirisaaq Ahmed Said was the Chairman of the Puntland Temporary Elections Committee (TPEC) who achieved in holding the Puntland Local Council Elections, I wish the new Parliament and their Committee the best, may Allah make it easy for him to carry out the responsibility assigned to him and now he is preparing and holding the election of the President and the Vice President of the Puntland Government. Congratulations,” said President Said Abdullahi Deni.
The State has been relatively peaceful compared to other parts of Somalia, with a focus on economic development, infrastructure projects, and the provision of basic services to its population and Puntland has made significant efforts to establish stability and governance within its environment.
